The Comfort Challenge Approach
My approach to coaching is informed by The International Coach Federation (ICF) Core Competencies, The C0-Active Coaching framework, and peer-reviewed research in Positive Psychology, Education, and Change Management.
In my coaching:
I engage with my clients with empathy and curiosity.
My communication style is warm, direct and non-judgmental
I facilitate growth with an evidence-based approach that balances efficiency with intuition.
“In the balance of comfort and challenge, we create space for growth.”
-Comfort Challenge Coaching motto
I bring COMFORT to my coaching clients.
Comfort means feeling truly supported, listened to, and validated. Your experience is relevant and your goals are important.
I use empathy and curiosity to explore your goals and potential with you, giving you space to feel, think, reflect, explore, ask questions, make choices, and take risks.
There is no judgement or criticism, only insight, observations, and genuine care.
My unconditional acceptance allows you to be vulnerable and share parts of yourself you tend to hide.
I invite you to be honest with me and with yourself.
I offer CHALLENGE to my coaching clients.
Challenge means I ask Powerful Questions – questions you’ve never asked, or been asked, before – to disrupt your status quo and move you towards your potential.
We will explore the unhelpful patterns of thinking you didn’t realize were holding you back.
I will call you out when I see you thinking or acting in ways that hold you back or contradict your goals.
I empower you to make new choices and help you hold yourself accountable to your goals.
I invite you to confront some parts of yourself that will lead to great change.
